Kathmandu, Oct 21: Dashain tika ceremony of the main day of Bada Dashain began today. People have started receiving tika and Jamara from their elders as the prasad of Naba Durga.
Tika ceremony began at 10:26 am, the auspicious time set to receive Dashain tika. The Nepal Calander Determination Development Committee set 10:26 am as the auspicious time to receive this year’s tika of Bijaya Dashami.
Since Bijaya Dashami is an auspicious day in itself, tika could be received throughout the day and there is no need to look for an auspicious time to receive tika, it is stated.
