Mahendranagar, Oct 29: The third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) underway in Kathmandu features 30 players from the Sudurpashchim Province alone. 

Sudurpashchim Royals, the home province team, comprises ten players from Sudurpashchim, including popular cricketer Dipendra Singh Airee. 

The players from the home province of Chatur Bahadur Chand, the central president of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), are now playing professionally from all eight teams in the third edition. 
Among nine districts in Sudurpashchim, Kanchanpur has the highest representation at NPL with 13 players on the field, informed Birendra Bahadur Chand, the president of Kanchanpur Cricket Association and a central member of CAN. 

'Sudurpashchim is generally leading as a breeding ground for players in many sports not being limited to the cricket,' said central member Chand. 

Sudurpashchim Royals include Kanchanpur captain Dipendra Singh Airee, along with Binod Bhandari, Hemanta Dhami, and Milan Bohara, while players from Baitadi are Hikmat Mahara and Deepak Bohora. 

Likewise, Royals include Sachin Bhatt from Achham, Tek Rawat from Kailali, Ayub Chand, and Tekraj Thalal from Dadeldhura. 

Similarly, Sandeep Jora from Kanchanpur, Sher Malla from Doti, Dinesh Adhikari from Achham, and Dilip Nath from Kanchanpur are playing at NPL for Lumbini Lions. 

Bikas Agri and Aditya Mehta from Kanchanpur are contracted with Janakpur Bolts, while Bhim Sarki and Sajan Gautam from Kanchanpur and Prakash Jaishi from Kailali are in Kathmandu Gorkhas. 

As informed, Lokesh Bam from Doti and Narayan Joshi and Naren Saud from Kailali are playing for Biratnagar Kings, and Yubaraj Khatri from Bajhang is playing for Karnali Yaks. 

Meanwhile, Kamal Singh Airee from Kanchanpur, Arjun Saud and Bipin Rawal from Kailali, Ashok Dhami from Bajhang, and Deepak Bohara from Dadeldhura are playing for Chitwan Rhinos. 

Akash Chand and Kiran Thagunna from Kanchanpur have gotten the chance to play in the NPL for Pokhara Avengers.
