Kathmandu, Nov 4: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, has issued directives to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the upcoming festive season. 

He has further instructed the subordinate bodies to prioritize preparatory measures and systematic planning for power management during the upcoming dry season. 

Minister Shrestha urged the Executive Director and staff to make necessary arrangements to ensure regular and seamless power supply during the Tihar and Chhath festivals. 

Additionally, Minister Shrestha directed the Authority to analyze the potential for domestic generation and electricity imports to ensure a reliable and consistent power supply throughout the upcoming dry season. He has instructed to conduct a realistic assessment of projected demand and available power for the dry season, and to present a detail action plan outlining immediate steps for supply management.
