Kathmandu, Nov 4: The government has appointed Rajan Bikram Thapa as the Chair of the Nepal Insurance Authority. 
Thapa was appointed to the position by a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday, based on the recommendation of a selection committee formed by the Ministry of Finance. 
Today, at a program held at the Ministry, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle administered the oath of office and secrecy to Thapa. 
Following the oath-taking, Finance Minister Dr Wagle instructed the newly appointed Chair Thapa to work boldly and confidently toward the advancement of the insurance sector.
